It’s easy to assume lake homes only sell in summer, when the beaches are full and the docks are out. In thirty years, I’ve found the opposite is often true: serious buyers shop all year, and there’s less competition in winter.
Sell the seasons, not just the view
A frozen lake is a skating rink. I make sure buyers see the cleared ice, the warm-up shelter and the winter programs, and I show summer photos alongside the winter ones so they can picture both.
Make the inside glow
Short days make lighting and warmth more important. Fresh bulbs, a lit fireplace and clear, dry entryways go a long way.
