The community

In the heart of south Calgary, Lake Bonavista is where the city’s lake lifestyle began. The community is built around two man-made lakes, Lake Bonavista and Lake Bonaventure, and decades of growth have given it something newer lake communities can’t buy: tall, mature trees and streets with real character.

Shops and services are a short walk from most homes, and playing fields and parks are scattered throughout. The community centre runs hockey, curling, skating and a fitness studio, and summer brings outdoor sports fields back to life. With Anderson Road and Canyon Meadows Drive on its edges, the main routes across the city are only minutes away, and major shopping, golf and Fish Creek Provincial Park are all close by.
